John Legere will stop being T-Mobile’s CEO in May: The end of an era for the Un-carrier

Be smart: The stoppage of location data sharing with brokers will not affect users' abilities to share locations within apps or other devices. Meanwhile, although the wireless carriers have cut out the middleman data aggregators, they're still free to sell user data directly to companies or individuals.

Last year, AT&T and other carriers pledged to stop providing location information to data brokers. But AT&T made an exception for useful services that, for instance, help customers with roadside assistance or fraud protection. Now the company says it will also end those sales in March.
